These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website and to all retreat inquiries, bookings, services, programs, and experiences offered by Pranamor.
By accessing this website, submitting an inquiry, booking a call, making a payment, or participating in a retreat, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and any retreat-specific agreements provided during the booking process.
1. About Pranamor
Pranamor offers private and customized retreat experiences in Costa Rica. Our work may include wellness-based retreats, coaching, personal development, couples connection, meditation, breathwork, sound journeys, cacao experiences, nature immersion, local lifestyle experiences, and related services.
Each retreat is personalized and may vary depending on the guest’s intentions, health information, suitability, chosen package, accommodation, provider availability, weather, safety considerations, and local conditions.
2. Retreat-Specific Agreements
Before participating in a retreat, guests may be required to complete or sign additional documents, including but not limited to:
retreat participation agreement
health intake form
assumption of risk and liability release
cancellation and rescheduling policy
informed consent form
travel insurance confirmation
photo or media consent, if applicable
Participation may be denied if required documents are not completed.
3. Not Medical, Psychological, or Psychiatric Treatment
Pranamor does not provide medical treatment, psychiatric treatment, psychotherapy, diagnosis, emergency care, crisis intervention, addiction treatment, or guaranteed therapeutic outcomes.
Our retreats are wellness, educational, experiential, spiritual, relational, and personal-development experiences. They are not a substitute for medical care, mental health care, psychiatric support, trauma therapy, addiction treatment, or professional healthcare.
Guests are responsible for consulting a qualified medical or mental health professional before participating if they have any medical, psychological, psychiatric, physical, emotional, or medication-related concerns.
4. No Guaranteed Outcomes
Pranamor does not promise, guarantee, or represent that any retreat will produce a specific physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, relational, therapeutic, medical, financial, or life outcome.
Every guest experience is different. Results depend on many factors, including personal readiness, health, life circumstances, participation, integration, and ongoing choices.
5. Plant Medicine and Psychedelic Content
Some content on this website may discuss psilocybin, plant medicine, altered states, ceremonial practices, and integration for informational, educational, cultural, or contextual purposes.
Nothing on this website should be understood as medical advice, legal advice, psychiatric advice, treatment advice, a guarantee of availability, or an unconditional offer to provide any substance, treatment, ceremony, therapy, or legally regulated service.
Any plant-medicine-related request is subject to individual suitability, health screening, legal review, local regulations, facilitator availability, safety considerations, and our discretion.
We do not make medical claims, treatment claims, or guaranteed-outcome claims regarding plant medicine, psychedelics, or related experiences.
We reserve the right to decline, postpone, modify, or refuse any request if we believe the experience may not be appropriate, safe, suitable, or legally appropriate.
Guests are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws of their country of residence, country of citizenship, countries of travel, and Costa Rica.
6. Retreat Suitability
We reserve the right to determine whether a retreat is suitable for a guest based on the information provided during the inquiry, screening, intake, booking, or preparation process.
We may decline, postpone, modify, or cancel participation if we believe a retreat may not be appropriate or safe for the guest, the facilitators, other participants, providers, or the retreat environment.
Guests agree to provide accurate and complete information about health, medications, allergies, dietary needs, physical limitations, emotional or psychological concerns, pregnancy, medical history, and other circumstances relevant to safe participation.
7. Mandatory Travel Insurance
All retreat guests are required to obtain and maintain comprehensive travel insurance for the full duration of their travel and retreat participation.
Coverage should include, as applicable:
emergency medical care
hospitalization
emergency medical evacuation and repatriation
trip cancellation
trip interruption
travel delays
missed connections
lost or delayed baggage
other unexpected travel-related expenses
Pranamor does not provide travel insurance, health insurance, medical insurance, evacuation coverage, or reimbursement for expenses that may otherwise have been covered by a guest’s insurance policy.
Proof of travel insurance may be requested before arrival. Failure to provide appropriate travel insurance may result in denial of participation without refund.
In rare cases, and only at our sole discretion, a guest may be permitted to participate without travel insurance after signing a separate Travel Insurance Declination and Additional Assumption of Financial Risk Agreement. We are not obligated to allow participation without travel insurance.
8. Payments
Retreat pricing, deposits, payment deadlines, and payment methods will be communicated during the booking process.
A retreat date is not reserved until the required deposit or booking payment has been received and confirmed.
Payment terms may vary depending on the retreat, accommodation, dates, package, and customization.
All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated. Currency conversion fees, bank fees, card fees, international transfer fees, and payment platform fees are the guest’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Cancellation, Refunds, and Rescheduling
Because Pranamor offers private, customized retreats with limited availability, each booking requires advance planning, preparation, accommodation reservations, provider coordination, scheduling, and personalized support.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable because they secure your dates and allow us to begin preparation, coordination, and booking of accommodations and providers.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining retreat balance is due no later than thirty (30) days before the retreat start date.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all retreat payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Refunds will not be provided for cancellations, illness, injury, personal or family emergencies, changes in personal circumstances, travel delays, missed or cancelled flights, denied entry into Costa Rica, failure to obtain required travel documents, weather events, late arrival, early departure, no-shows, or failure to attend.
Because many of these situations may be covered by travel insurance, comprehensive travel insurance is required for all guests.
Based on the circumstances, timing, availability, and costs already committed, we may, at our sole discretion, offer the possibility to reschedule a retreat.
Any request to reschedule must be made in writing as early as possible and, unless otherwise agreed in writing, no later than thirty (30) days before the original retreat start date.
Approved rescheduling may be subject to a rescheduling fee of $500 USD and any additional costs caused by the change, including accommodation, provider, transportation, administrative, or price-difference costs.
Any approved rescheduled retreat must take place within six (6) months of the original retreat date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Approval of a rescheduling request is discretionary and does not create an obligation to approve future requests, provide alternative dates, issue credits, transfer payments, or refund payments.
10. Travel Disruptions
Guests are responsible for their own flights, transportation to Costa Rica, travel documents, passports, visas, insurance, and arrival logistics unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We are not responsible for flight cancellations, missed connections, road closures, storms, illness, immigration issues, airline changes, transportation delays, or other travel disruptions.
We will do our best to support reasonable schedule adjustments where possible, but refunds are not guaranteed for circumstances outside our control.
11. Third-Party Services
Some retreat elements may be provided by independent third parties, including accommodation providers, retreat centers, Airbnb hosts, drivers, massage therapists, guides, chefs, bodyworkers, yoga teachers, photographers, facilitators, tour operators, or other local providers.
Pranamor may coordinate, recommend, or include third-party services, but those providers remain responsible for the services they personally provide.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pranamor is not responsible for the acts, omissions, negligence, misconduct, service quality, cancellations, scheduling changes, injuries, losses, damages, or other actions of independent third-party providers.
This applies whether the third-party service or activity was included in the retreat package, scheduled by Pranamor, recommended by Pranamor, booked on the guest’s behalf, or independently selected and booked by the guest.
12. Accommodation and Venue
Retreats may take place at retreat centers, boutique accommodations, rented villas, Airbnbs, private properties, or other venues.
Venue conditions, amenities, room layouts, access roads, weather conditions, insects, wildlife, humidity, internet quality, noise, and local infrastructure may vary.
Costa Rica is a tropical country. Guests should expect natural conditions, changing weather, occasional infrastructure limitations, insects, wildlife, humidity, rain, mud, and environmental factors that may differ from home.
13. Activities and Schedule
Retreat schedules are intentionally flexible and may be adjusted based on guest needs, weather, safety, provider availability, group or couple dynamics, energy levels, health considerations, and local conditions.
Activities may include meditation, breathwork, movement, sound journeys, cacao experiences, coaching, couples practices, nature walks, beach visits, swimming, excursions, massage, bodywork, local community experiences, and other wellness-based activities.
Participation in all retreat activities is voluntary. Guests may decline, pause, modify, or stop any activity at any time.
14. Participant Comfort and Choice
Some activities may include personal reflection, breathwork, meditation, movement, eye-gazing, relational exercises, or other gentle connection-based practices.
Guests are responsible for communicating any discomfort, personal limits, health concerns, or desire to pause or stop.
Pranamor may modify or stop any activity if it feels appropriate for the guest’s comfort, wellbeing, safety, or the overall retreat experience.
15. Assumption of Risk
By booking or participating in a retreat, guests understand that retreat experiences involve inherent risks.
These may include physical, emotional, psychological, environmental, travel-related, interpersonal, and logistical risks.
Costa Rica is a tropical country. Retreats may include beaches, jungle areas, rivers, trails, natural terrain, rain, mud, humidity, insects, wildlife, uneven surfaces, stairs, pools, ocean conditions, roads, and changing weather.
Risks may include slips, falls, bites, stings, allergic reactions, dehydration, sun exposure, minor or serious injury, transportation delays, emotional distress, illness, and other unexpected events.
Guests knowingly and voluntarily accept the risks associated with travel to and within Costa Rica, accommodations, retreat participation, transportation, activities, excursions, and related experiences, including risks that may be known or unknown, expected or unexpected.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, guests agree that Pranamor, its owners, facilitators, team members, contractors, venues, providers, and representatives are not responsible for injury, loss, damage, emotional distress, illness, travel disruption, or other consequences except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
16. Guest Responsibility
Guests are responsible for:
providing accurate health and personal information
arriving with valid travel documents
obtaining appropriate travel insurance
obtaining appropriate medical insurance where needed
informing us of allergies, medications, dietary restrictions, injuries, diagnoses, pregnancy, or relevant health concerns
respecting local laws, culture, property rules, wildlife, providers, facilitators, and other guests
participating within their own physical, emotional, and psychological limits
making responsible decisions about their own safety and wellbeing
safeguarding their passport, identification, money, electronics, medications, valuables, and personal belongings
We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings unless caused by proven misconduct.
17. Emergency Support
Pranamor is not an emergency medical or crisis service.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, psychiatric crisis, or immediate danger, seek local emergency assistance or contact a qualified professional immediately.
In the event of illness, injury, accident, or emergency during a retreat, Pranamor may contact emergency services and, when reasonably necessary, assist in arranging medical treatment, transportation, hospitalization, or evacuation.
Guests are financially responsible for emergency services, medical treatment, hospitalization, medication, transportation, evacuation, repatriation, and related expenses.
18. Changes, Delays, and Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, interruptions, or changes caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather, storms, flooding, road closures, flight cancellations, illness, natural events, political events, strikes, transportation issues, power outages, internet outages, venue issues, provider cancellations, public health emergencies, or emergency situations.
If changes are necessary, we will do our best to offer reasonable alternatives, adjustments, rescheduling options, or comparable substitutions where possible.
Reasonable changes to the itinerary, schedule, location, provider, accommodation, activity, or service do not automatically entitle the guest to a refund.
19. Cancellation or Changes by Pranamor
We may cancel, postpone, modify, relocate, or adjust a retreat if necessary due to safety concerns, illness, emergency, venue issues, weather, provider cancellation, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If we cancel a retreat before it begins, we may offer one or more of the following where appropriate:
rescheduling
credit toward a future retreat
partial refund
full refund, depending on the reason for cancellation and costs already committed
We are not responsible for flights, personal travel costs, lost wages, additional accommodation, or other indirect costs.
20. Code of Conduct
Guests are expected to behave respectfully, safely, and responsibly.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate a guest’s participation without refund if their behavior is unsafe, abusive, threatening, disrespectful, intoxicated, illegal, disruptive, damaging to property, harmful to themselves or others, or inappropriate for the retreat environment.
21. Photos, Videos, and Testimonials
We may take photographs or videos during parts of a retreat for documentation, educational, editorial, website, social media, or promotional purposes.
We aim to use media respectfully and sensitively and to avoid publishing private, vulnerable, or deeply personal moments in a way that feels intrusive or disrespectful.
Guests may request not to be photographed or recorded, or may request that certain images or videos not be used publicly. We will make reasonable efforts to honor such requests.
For highly identifiable, private, vulnerable, or testimonial-style content, we may request additional confirmation before public use.
We will not sell guest photos, videos, testimonials, or personal stories.
22. Intellectual Property
All website content, images, text, retreat concepts, names, designs, materials, music, audio, videos, documents, exercises, and program materials are owned by Pranamor or its creators unless otherwise stated.
Guests may not copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, publish, teach, or commercially use our materials without written permission.
23. Privacy
Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
Because retreats may involve personal, emotional, health-related, relational, spiritual, or sensitive information, we treat guest information with care and confidentiality.
24. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Costa Rica, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law.
Any dispute shall first be addressed through good-faith communication. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be handled through the appropriate legal process in Costa Rica, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
25. Updates
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this website with a new “last updated” date.
